My name is Marc Knox and I give “Personal Readings” also commonly known as Tarot and Oracle readings.

What are personal readings?

Let’s say you have a problem, any problem! Sitting down and having your cards read is a way to come up with some solutions to these problems. They are also a great way to offer clarity about things in your life.

How does it work? Ask 50 different readers and you will get 50 different answers. One thing that we can agree on is that the cards are full of symbolism. During a reading we look at a bunch of random symbols. These symbols unlock possibilities and if you are in the right mood and state of mind then you will be able to see your problem in a new way. Because of this, it can help you unlock solutions or “paths” to these problems. It will show you that if you choose to follow these paths what some possible outcomes may be.

Some people believe the cards may be dealt by some hidden force that is trying to show you the future, others believe the cards are simply “cards” and it’s part of our psychology that is influencing our future based on what we are seeing. Either way, in one of my personal readings we simply let the cards speak for themselves. We don't need to be concerned with the “woo” and “magic”. We are simply here to look at the symbolism and use it to offer answers and clarity to a question that is asked.

What is this symbolism?

Many readers will learn set symbolism and key words from a book and then try to wrap this around questions you ask. This works fantastic inmost cases but can be limiting for some people. Personally? I don’t need the book! Why? Because symbolism is not universal. It's not set in stone. Not everyone sees symbols the same way. Some symbols are more universal than others but for the most part, it’s not the most reliable way to read people's cards.

Look at the Death Card from the Tarot. Some people see the concept of death as “the end”. Nothing happens after! Some see it as a time to move onto a heavenly or hellish place to be rewarded or punished. Some see it as just another cog in the wheel of an endless cycle and don't think too much about it at all.

Due to not being locked to specific card keywords, my readings can be more personal, more open to wider interpretation, and it factors in the fluid nature of symbolism and also what people expect from a reading. I don't deal in absolutes and so when you get a reading you will be going over your question and using the cards to show possible paths and potential solutions that will open up. As I like to say “The future is rooted in possibility rather than fixed destiny.”

I also use Tarot as a great tool to learn little more about yourself through a variety of different reading types.

I like to use a mix of traditional tarot decks, modern decks and oracle cards to give a broad scope of symbolism to work with to really leave you feeling like you have clarity, solutions and answers when you walk away.

I do not claim to be a psychic, a fortune teller, or a counsellor. I do not claim to predict the future. I simply sit with you to go over a selection of cards and read to those cards based on my knowledge of Tarot and Oracle systems I have trained in and formulated myself. I also take inspiration from the ancient wisdom of the sages of India and the yoga system and the knowledge they can offer in life's journey. I feel this combination offers a unique style of reading you won’t get anywhere else and will work for you in a very practical and meaningful way. You are free to believe whatever you want about why getting cards read works so well. What’s important is how you feel after your reading has been done.
